WP 2: Interfaces and Integration

The aim of work package 2 is to integrate and interface sensor systems, probe collecting devices and manipulators to different robotic platforms. These highly modular, robust, small, and power-efficient tools and sensors require standardized interfaces to be automatically exchangeable to guarantee a high degree of re-configurability. For that reason, not only mechanical and hardware interfaces are required, but also software and computational integration are essential. The developments will lead to cooperative sensor-system networks on single platforms or multiple teams to monitor the particular environment at the required spatial and temporal resolution.
